Our welding course is a practical course whose purpose is to truly allow you to learn the profession of welding in a mechanical workshop at the Mabati Technical Training Institute. This is a 1 year training course, where the trainee is imparted with knowledge and skills through theory and practice.
Welding is a branch of mechanical engineering option production whereby we train trainee on;
- Workshop safety
- Welding tools and equipment
- Reading and interpretation of drawings
- Workshop calculations
- Technical drawing
- Fabrication work
- Repair and maintenance work
- Painting technique
- Welding joints preparation
- Welding position
- Welding technique
After three months the trainee should report back to institution for preparations of national government trade test grade three controlled by NITA for every December.
After six to seven months down, the trainee becomes a qualified welder and is sent out for attachment to harden his/her skills for a duration of three months in different fields within the country. Thereafter, they will be ripe for the job market.
Welding and fabrication course, basically is a course offered to grown-up and energetic persons of young and middle aged (18 years and above but not more than 35years)
